NEWCASTLE: 2.30 Polly Whitefoot, 3.05 Emerald Destiny, 3.40 Monashee Grey, 4.15 My Arch, 4.50 Raining Horse, 5.20 The Names Bond, 5.50 Diamond Frontier.

WOLVERHAMPTON: 6.50 Twinned, 7.20 Playtotheaudience, 7.50 Yes One, 8.20 Faraday, 8.50 General Feeling, 9.20 Distant Sun.

DOUBLE: Dickie Le Davoir and Yes One.

Dickie Le Davoir holds a cracking chance at the weights in Southwell's hambletonracing.co.uk Handicap on Wednesday.

In what promises to develop into a fascinating clash, the John Harris-trained gelding will once again lock horns with an in-form Came Back.

The latter seeks a four-timer after posting two wins here and one at Lingfield, but finds himself considerably worse off with the selection than just over a month ago.

Came Back beat Dickie Le Davoir by two lengths when in receipt of 6lb in February, but with a 14lb swing the latter is fancied to gain his revenge.

Also worth a little punt is Paul Cole's Putra Square, who returns from a winter break in the Enjoy Hambleton Racing's Sole Owner Service Handicap.

Enthusiasm is tempered slightly as it is hard to know if he will be 100% tuned-up first time, but he looked the type to improve at four and could well be a better horse this year.

Furthermore, he was not beaten far by the likes of Zaham and Arabian Gulf at the start of last season's campaign, which suggests he will leave a handicap mark of 75 well behind at some point.

There is also racing on the sand at Wolverhampton, where Yes One is fancied to regain the winning thread in the Rock Around The Croc @ Pontin's Handicap.

Kevin Ryan has his string in decent early-season nick and this Peintre Celebre colt won with a little in hand over this course and distance at the end of last month.

He could finish only third when sent off favourite last time but he only tired towards the end of Southwell's more stamina-sapping stretch and ought to go close on his return to a more suitable venue.

Playtotheaudience saw his race out well to win here two weeks ago and is of interest in a similar event for Richard Fahey.

He is plainly no superstar having won off a lowly perch of 49 a fortnight ago but the Sponsor A Race By Calling 01902 390009 Handicap should not take much winning.

The first of two jumps fixtures comes from Kempton, where Procas De Thaix is fancied to strike in the intercasino.co.uk "National Hunt" Novices' Hurdle.

Trained by Nicky Henderson, this lightly-raced five-year-old looks an above-average youngster who ought to continue making a name for himself.

Having been short-headed by the smart Theatre Girl on his hurdling debut back in November, the gelding went on to win over this course and distance later that month.

His 120-day absence is a minor concern, although Henderson's horses rarely lack anything for fitness.

Emerald Destiny showed vastly improved form to win over course and distance earlier in the month and will be a mighty hard horse to stop in Newcastle's interskygroup.com Handicap Chase.

Chris Grant's gelding strolled to a 10-length success 11 days ago and should be more than capable of repeating the dose in a similar race.
